fairytales are good for bedtime stories, but advice about your love life?? uhhhmmm.. maybe not. here’s where they got it wrong..

1. Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs
Mistake : ditching your friends
at the end of this fairytales, Snow White recieve “Love’s First Kiss” from her Prince, wakes up from the dead, then rides off into the sunset with him; leaving behind the seven dwarfs and animals who had been by her side for way longer than five seconds it took the prince to wake her up.. umm, where’s the gratitude?? when love comes to you, make sure you don’t ditch the important people in your life.. they were there before he came along, they’ll be there long after..

2. The Little Mermaid
Mistake : changing for a guy
Ariel did everything to win over her crush, Eric – she gave up her tail, lost her voice, and left behind the entire underwater world to make her way onto the mainland in the hopes he’d fall in love with her. but he didn’t. It was only when she reverted back to her spunky swimming self that Eric realised what a cool chick she was. changing yourself entirely for a boy will never have a happy ending. you’ll just get tired from faking it..

3. Cinderella
Mistake : not swapping contact details
this fairytales would be highly unreccomended in real because of the odds: a) you’ll run out of a party and leave your shoes behind, and b) the guy you were flirting with all night would search the entire streets, looking for you to return them. Cinderella’s Prince had the help of the entire kingdom to track her down, but you don’t. So, if you’re into someone, make sure you give enough hints so he asks for your number at the end of the night or, better yet, ask him yourself!! you can’t rely on the lost footwear to hook you up, y’ know..
*note to self : i really really have to use this tips.. :P

4. Beauty and The Beast
Mistake : judging someone on their looks
it’s totaly cliched but you really shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover. it’s often when you give a person a chance and dig beneath the surface that you’ll find that there’s more to them than you initially thought. and it works the opposite way too – just because someone looks like Zac Efron doesn’t mean there’s necessarily much beneath the surface. Just think – if Bell hadn’t given the Beast a chance, she would never have found her Prince.

5. Sleeping Beauty
Mistake : waiting for your Prince Charming
OMG, that girl was in that tower FOREVER!! do you really want to be doing that with your crush?? we have better things to do than wait around for him.. if you already have a Prince Charming in mind, then make a move. if you don’t, just get out there and have fun with your friends. you never know who you might meet along the way..

why you wouldn’t want your love life to be a fairytale
* being a girl in a fairytale is not too interesting. you just stand there, smile, look pretty and wait around for the guy to come to you. where’s the fun on that..
* there’s just too much drama!! honestly, with all the evil witches, people cursing you to death and spells all around you, there’s really no time for the romance.
* something bad always keeps you apart from your crush!! Ariel, Snow White, Cinderella – they’re all proof that the journey of true love never did run smooth. spells putting you into an eternal sleep, two different worlds that will always be seperated.. yeah whatever..
